Silver Moon Ring
The stone on this ring is actually a rough cast nugget of recycled silver, perched on a simple thin band.
To make the 'stone', pieces of silver scrap are melted together until they form into a solid shape. As the metal cools, the surface wrinkles and folds into a textured but smooth-to-the-touch finish.
In this case, the metal formed into a moonscape, complete with craters. The process is unpredictable, as the metal does what it wants under the torch, which means each piece is unique.
Wear alone as a simple statement ring, or stack with a series of thin bands for a more substantial look.
