Flower Signet Ring
The stone on this ring is actually a rough cast nugget of recycled silver, perched on a simple sterling silver band.
To make the 'stone', pieces of silver scrap are melted together until they form into a solid shape. As the metal cools, the surface wrinkles and folds into a textured but smooth-to-the-touch finish. The process is unpredictable, as the metal does what it wants under the torch, which means each piece is unique.
This small nugget was hammered flat, then stamped. The Navajo artisan-made clover stamp is from the House of Stamps. ( http://www.thehouseofstamps.com)
Wear alone as a simple statement ring, or stack with a series of thin bands for a more substantial look.
