Intermediate to advanced skill level
Learn the basics of bezel setting in this workshop. Start this project by creating a ring, and then building a setting for your oval or round cabochon. Add detail to the backplate with hammers, laser cut paper and the rolling mill or add other embellishments. Learn some simple techniques that make setting your stone easy! 

All tools and most materials provided. Students wishing to use a laser cut texture paper for the backplate should purchase this before the class. Bring your own stone or choose from the large collection at Bedrock. The staff will help you with size - stone should be a minimum 10mm round or oval cabochon with a smooth top. (No rose, checkered or faceted cuts please!)

Closed toe shoes and cotton shop-worthy clothing required. Don't forget your glasses! You'll need proper lenses for the close up work we will be doing. If you have your own tool kit, please feel free to bring it to class.
