"Beeline" cuff.

This whimsical bracelet features a line of bees dancing along the cuff. The cuff has been forged into a domed convex shape, also known as a synclastic shape. I used 19 gauge copper for this cuff, as it allows for more intricate patterns to be cut out while maintaining the structure of the piece during forming.

Made to fit the average wearer, the cuff is approximately 6" around, and 1 1/2" wide. Substantial, but not heavy.

Is this cuff laser cut? Not at all. The bee pattern has been hand cut. This is done by drilling a small hole in each section to be cut out, then sawing the parts out with a hair thin blade. The pattern is further accented by small drilled piercings between each bee. Once cut out, the bracelet is stamped with my makers stamp, and then formed into the domed cuff.

The cuff has been hand finished, using a series of sanding discs, sand paper and polishing papers before being tumbled for several hours to bring it up to the lovely burnished glow you see here. After this, it is sealed with several coats of museum grade Renaissance Wax.

Ah, the postal service. All of my orders are shipped with tracking unless otherwise specified, and a tracking number will be provided to you. Canada Post and USPS have handy apps that will allow you to track your packages and provide updates if you subscribe for them. Postal delivery times can vary based on the time of the year, customs holds, the weather, or the phases of the moon.

Kidding aside, once the item is in the hands of the post office, it is out of my control. I will do my best to obtain accurate information on shipping timelines, and will assist you in tracking a late or lost package. Lost or missing packages are rare, but things do happen.

While I do not accept returns or exchanges, I want you to love the piece that you have just purchased! Some things to note before you buy:

I make every effort to use standard sizing, and try to include approximate measurements (like cuff bracelets) or exact measurements and sizes for necklace length and ring sizing.

If the size you are looking for is not available, please let me know and I can create a made-to-order piece for you.

Customers may cancel their order within 24 hours of purchase, for a full refund if order has not shipped. Once shipped, items are non-refundable.

If an item arrives damaged or goes missing in transit, I will make every effort to repair, track or replace the item. Due to the handmade nature of my items, replacement items may differ slightly from the original purchase, but will still be just as fabulous.

Custom order deposit, made to order and custom pieces are non-refundable.

Applicable refunds will be issued back to method of payment.

WHAT ARE YOUR PIECES MADE OF?

I primarily work in sterling silver and copper. I incorporate other materials into my work, including brass, bronze, aluminum, and leather and semiprecious gemstones.

WHERE IS THE 925 STAMP? HOW DO I KNOW YOUR METAL IS SILVER?

You will see your piece stamped or tagged with my trademark stamp, but not metal purity. (925 silver or K stamped for gold)

In accordance with the Canadian Precious Metals Marking Act, a quality stamp for precious metals may only be used in conjunction with the maker’s registered trademark stamp. At this time, Two Carrots Studio does not have a registered trademark, so I am not allowed to stamp for quality.

I assure you that the metals I use are exactly as described. I purchase my silver directly from the refiner, and my other metals come from a trusted commercial supplier.

I AM NICKEL SENSITIVE. ARE YOUR PIECES NICKEL FREE?

Yes, they are nickel free. Sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5 parts silver and 7.5 parts copper. Brass and bronze are also alloys, but do not contain nickel.

ARE THE SNAPS ON LEATHER CUFFS NICKEL FREE?

Yes, I use nickel free snaps from a reputable supplier.

CAN I WEAR MY PIECES IN THE SHOWER? THE POOL?

It is best to remove pieces when swimming or bathing, as chemicals in the water, along with any products used, can discolour the metal. Gemstone pieces should not be immersed.

WHAT ABOUT WASHING MY HANDS? CAN I LEAVE MY RINGS ON?

Make it a best practice to remove rings before washing or applying lotion. Soap and lotions can accumulate in the small nooks and crannies of your jewelry and cause discolouration to the jewelry and possible irritation to your skin.

MY PIECE HAS TURNED BLACK! WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT?

It’s just a little tarnish - don’t worry! The more silver jewelry is worn, the less likely it is to tarnish. Chemical reactions can cause discolouration too. Give the piece a gentle polish with the polishing cloth provided with your order and it will be as good as new. A care card has also been included with your piece. Tuck it into your jewelry box right now!

I JUST NOTICED MY ORDER HAD AN OLD ADDRESS! HOW CAN I FIX THIS?

Whoops! We are human, and miss things. If your order has not shipped, this is an easy fix. Send me a message and I’ll make sure I send it to the right place. Please update your Etsy profile to have the correct address. If the order has shipped, this gets tricky. USPS has an online service that will allow you to redirect your mail, and Canada Post has a similar feature. Please refer to their websites for the procedure and fees associated with this.

If the item goes to your old address and isn’t forwarded, it will have to make it’s way back to me and then I will reship, at your cost.

MY ORDER ARRIVED DAMAGED! WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Oh no! I am sorry that this happened. Your order left my studio complete and very well packaged, but sometimes things happen. Thankfully, it is rare but it can happen. If there shipping damage, please take a picture of the packaging and KEEP the packaging in case it is needed for a claim. If the packaging is damaged but your item is fine, we are golden. If the item inside is also damaged, please take photos and we will work together to resolve it.

MY ITEM IS NOT WHAT I ORDERED. WHAT CAN I DO?

Most of my items are one of a kind, or made to order. If you feel the item is not what you thought it would be, send me a conversation and we will work together to resolve it.

I WANT TO CANCEL MY ORDER. HOW CAN I DO THIS?

First, send me a message. If your order has not shipped we can process a refund. If it has shipped, you will need to wait for it to arrive and then send it back to me. You will be responsible for return postage. Once the package has reached me, I will be able to process a refund. Please note that made to order and custom orders are non-refundable.

Care instructions

COPPER

All copper pieces have been sealed and finished with museum grade Renaissance Wax. This will prevent the piece from tarnishing, but is not a permanent finish. How long the finish lasts will depend on how often the piece is worn, and the body chemistry of the person wearing it. If the piece starts to discolour, a small amount of paste wax applied and buffed to a shine should do the trick.

SILVER

Worn frequently, silver should not tarnish. If tarnish does appear, a quick polish with a jewelry cloth will bring it back to a lustrous finish.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All pieces can be gift wrapped - select this option at checkout. If you would like a special message included with the piece, please let me know and I will add that extra touch for you.

Sizing details

If you need a specific size for an item, I am happy to create a made-to-order version of any of my pieces.

Bracelets and cuffs listed are made to fit the average wearer.

For custom or made-to-order items, I may ask for both ring size, and size in mm to ensure the most accurate fit.
